Advanced In-Mold Label Technology

about in-mold labeling
PT IML Technology is an expert in In-Mold Labeling (IML) — an innovative labeling technique applied during the plastic molding process, rather than after the product is made like conventional stickers.

In traditional labeling, the label is glued onto the plastic product after molding. With IML, however, the label is placed inside the mold before injecting the molten plastic. As the plastic forms, it fuses permanently with the label — creating a single, integrated piece.
improved label adhesion
Ensures strong container adhesion with no peeling, while resisting spills, stains, and weather exposure.

As a result:
It’s highly resistant to water, scratches, or chemicals.
The surface looks smooth, premium, and seamless.
The label and container become one solid unit.

elimination of extra decorating step
No labeling machine, shrink tunnel, or printing machine is needed, requiring less space for pre-decoration storage, minimizing handling, improving production efficiency, reducing losses, and lowering human dependency.
counterfeit prevention
In-Mold Label with security features (tear-off, Easy-Peel, QR), using controlled materials and non-reusable after peeling.

ⓘ information
Standard in-mold labeling does not prevent the reuse of packaging, since the labels are permanently attached and the containers can be refilled.
With this security feature, part of the label can be peeled away, making the container unusable once tampered with. This helps protect our partners and their customers by reducing the risk of counterfeiting and unauthorized reuse.
At PT IML Technology, we address this with our Secure In-Mold Labels, produced through a state-of-the-art manufacturing process. Using a dedicated label inserting unit, labels are applied with speed and precision to ensure accurate positioning.
